Tack processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including
the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This notice explains how we process data
when you use the TackTec webshop, register a B2B account, place an order or contact us.
1 Controller
1.1The data controller is Tack GmbH, Burgenlandstrasse 1, 2486 Pottendorf/Landegg, Austria, Company Registration Number FN 83789 w, VAT ID ATU17653108, Managing Director Dr. Werner Tack.
1.2Enquiries about data protection can be sent to info@tacktec.at.
2 Data we process
2.1Account and registration data, including name, professional role, practice or clinic, billing and shipping address, email, telephone number, VAT identification number and login credentials.
2.2Order and contract data, including products ordered, batch/lot/serial information where applicable, invoices, payment status and shipping details.
2.3Communication data from emails, contact forms, telephone calls and support requests.
2.4Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookies and log files required to operate, secure and improve the webshop.
3 Purposes and legal basis
3.1Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): account approval, order processing, delivery, invoicing, electronic order confirmations and customer support.
3.2Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): VAT and accounting records, product traceability, recalls and other regulatory duties applicable to veterinary medical products.
3.3Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): verifying professional B2B eligibility, preventing misuse of accounts, IT security, asserting or defending legal claims, and improving the webshop.
3.4Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), where required, for optional cookies or marketing communications. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
4 Recipients
4.1Personal data is disclosed only where necessary to perform the contract, comply with law, or operate the webshop.
4.2Typical recipients include payment service providers (including Stripe or another provider offered in the webshop), carriers such as DHL, tax and accounting service providers, IT hosting and website operators, and public authorities where legally required.
4.3Where data is transferred outside the EEA, Tack uses appropriate safeguards required by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
5 Retention
5.1Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including statutory retention periods for commercial, tax and product-traceability records.
5.2Customer accounts that are rejected, suspended or deactivated may be retained as far as needed to prevent misuse and to meet legal obligations.
6 Your rights
6.1Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests.
6.2You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) or another competent supervisory authority.
6.3The customer must keep account, billing and contact information accurate and up to date.
7 Security and cookies
7.1Tack implements technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encrypted transmission where applicable, and confidential handling of login credentials.
7.2The webshop uses cookies and similar technologies required for login, shopping cart, checkout and security. Optional analytics or marketing cookies, if used, are only set with consent.
